Kaffeeklatsch@ Perk Up Cafe on Sunday, January 22 , 2017 from noon-3pm Kaffeeklatsch is the German "coffee time", where we have different cakes available by the slice. The offerings vary and change weekly. Kaffeeklatsch has garnered a loyal following due to its authenticity in taste and flavor, the possibility to use acquired German language skills and talking to other customers AND the return of fond childhood memories of Oma's (granny's) cakes.
Black Forest Torte - Schwarzwaelder Kirschtorte (Chocolate sponge cake on a chocolate butter crust, filled with a cherry filling and whipping cream)
Apple Marzipan Cake- Apfel-Marzipankuchen (Marzipan pound cake filled with apple pieces)
The Marion County and Indiana State Park systems showcase some of the most intriguing natural features of Indiana, ranging from sauntering streams to old-growth forests to sandstone cliffs. As two novice photographers armed only with curious eyes and iPhones, we have been amazed by the diversity and richness found outdoors in Indiana. We hope our exhibit will encourage you to take your own walk in the woods during this special year celebrating the Hoosier bicentennial. As the environmentalist David Suzuki reminds us, nature is all around us, from parks and backyards to streets and alleyways, if only we take the time to look.
